From the recording Pinch Me
Artist's Notes for Better Than Ever: I was deliberatively pushing myself to write something that would speak to a younger, pop-music loving audience. The lyrics are my words of encouragement and wisdom to a young person starting out in life, unsure of themself and how to navigate the adult world. "We see you! Just keep at it, and before you know it, you're gonna shine."

Lyrics
Better Than Ever
Now you're on your own, where is everybody
Scrollin' through the posts for opportunities
Got a lot to give, just want a chance to live
Wishin' you could find your place at the party
Oh, we see you doin' what you do, so keep on (keep on)
First off, you've got to show up
Then you take a step at a time
Don't stop, before you know it
You're better than ever
And the world sees you shine
Tryin' to get it done, you come so far
Will you ever get as good as your idols are
So much more to learn, waitin' for your turn
Keep pushin' even when they raise the bar
Oh, we see you doin' what you do, so keep on (keep on)
First off, you've got to show up
Then you take a step at a time
Don't stop, before you know it
You're better than ever
And the world sees you shine
You may not know it yet, But it's really gonna get
So much better, better, better, better, yeah
So much better, yeah
First off, you've got to show up
Then you take a step at a time
Don't stop, before you know it
You're better than ever
And the world sees you shine
